If you are found to have a hearing loss, you will have many styles of hearing instruments from which to choose. Your hearing health professional will help you select the model that is most appropriate for you. He or she will take into consideration the type of hearing loss you have, your lifestyle, and your budget. Your hearing health professional might recommend that you be fitted with two hearing aids for maximum listening ease. We refer to this as a "binaural" fitting. Just as you have two hears, having hearing instruments in both ears helps you better understand speech and identify the source of sounds. |
