It is well documented that today’s potential
and current hearing instrument wearers lead extremely active lifestyles,
thus increasing the demand for technology that can meet and exceed
the expectations of active patients. As one of the first manufacturers
to provide lifestyle fitting rationales to advanced digital technology,
Rexton understands the continued need for products that can more
accurately reflect the patients true listening environment.
Personalized Listening
Situation
Regatta digital hearing instruments allow hearing health professionals
to program three personalized listening environments based upon amplification
needs, personal preferences, and predominant listening environments.
Directional
Microphone
Available on select models, Regatta’s directional microphone helps
to improve speech intelligibility in most environments. When in directional
mode, the hearing instrument will focus on sounds directly in front of the
wearer, while diminishing the sounds to the side and rear.
The additional Adaptive Directional Microphone option, available on the Regatta2, further
enhances the wearer’s ability to clearly distinguish speech from noise
in an environment where the noise source may be changing position.
Telephone
Compatibility
Cordless and cellular phones can interfere with the performance of some hearing
instruments. Regatta’s digital processor is enhanced with a shield-protected
microphone, helping reduce acoustical interference that may occur during
phone use.
Low Battery and
Memory Selection Alert Tone
Standard on all Regatta product offerings, the low battery alert tone helps
to remind the wearer when the battery needs changing. The hearing instrument
will emit a series of beeps, indicating the battery is low, continuing to
do so until the battery is replaced or is dead. The memory selection alert
tone indicates which personalized listening situation has been selected.
