Announcing Our Rexton AuD Scholarship Winners!
In honor of our 60th anniversary as a leader in building advanced hearing instruments, we are celebrating those who are working to treat and prevent hearing loss around the country. The audiology industry is brimming with talented young minds ready to earn their degrees and begin their careers. To demonstrate our dedication and pay tribute to our dynamic industry while we celebrate our 62nd anniversary, we are offering $60,000 in educational financial support to current and future AuD students.
Our winners were selected from a batch of current postsecondary undergraduates or graduate level students who had been accepted to a full-time, accredited AuD program for the entire 2017-2018 academic year. Only students who had received a minimum GPA average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale were eligible, and criteria such as academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, statement of career and education goals were considered.
This year, we chose four students who will each be receiving a $5,000 scholarship. Allow us to introduce them.
Joshua Caldwell is an audiology doctoral student at the University of North Texas.
Kylie Hill is a Doctor of Audiology student at the University of Pittsburgh.
Maribiliz Irizarry-Torres is an audiology graduate student at the University of Puerto Rico.
Brittany Gilb is a third year audiology student at the University of Cincinnati.
Congratulations to all of our bright and talented winners! From all of us at the Rexton team, we wish you the best of luck and look forward to seeing your contributions to the industry in the fight against hearing loss.
