CONNECTIVITY OPTIONS
1. BLUETOOTH-ENABLED HEARING AIDS
Connect directly to a wide range of smartphones to enjoy hands-free calls, music, and media streaming.
MFI (Made for iPhone) technology for iOS devices
Rexton MFi (made for iPhone or iPad) hearing aids connect directly to your iPhone or iPad so that you can stream your phone calls and music directly into your hearing aids.
ASHA (Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids) for compatible Android devices
Phones with Bluetooth 5.0 (or higher) and the latest Android OS can be capable of providing wireless audio streaming via ASHA. Please make sure to confirm the compatibility to the users specific phone since this functionality depends on the phone manufacturers enablement.
Bluetooth LE Audio on newer models for the next generation of wireless audio
LE Audio facilitates wireless audio streaming with minimal power usage, ensuring high-quality sound transmission. This capability enables easy connection to compatible devices, enhancing communication and audio streaming in hearing aids.
Bluetooth Classic for universal connectivity
A streaming protocol for applications that require continuous data transfer, such as hands-free phone calls or streaming of music. Bluetooth Classic enables seamless connection of the hearing aids with a wide range of Bluetooth devices, including Android and iOS smartphones, but also laptops and some TVs.
2. HEARING AIDS WITHOUT BLUETOOTH
For models without Bluetooth, you can still control your hearing aids using the Rexton App. In this case, your smartphone sends high-pitched acoustic control tones to your hearing aids – allowing you to adjust volume, change programs, or fine-tune sound balance from almost any phone with a speaker. This means that even older mobile phones can be used for convenient hearing aid adjustments.
